Comment: This is my all time favorite version of fruit salad. It is cool, creamy and tangy from the orange jell-o added to it. My Mom got this recipe from a friend at a church potluck many years ago. It has been a family favorite ever since.
1 small pkg. orange jell-o
1/2 pkg. mini marshmallows
1 small can of crushed pineapple
1 cup cool whip
4 Tbsp. mayo
8 oz pkg. cream cheese
1 cup mild cheddar cheese grated
Melt orange jell-o in 1 cup boiling water. Add mini marshmallows and stir until they are mostly melted then add 3/4 cup cold water. Add other ingredients and mix well. I fold in the cool whip at the end. Chill in refrigerator until set.
